About Fun Run

The Grif Fun Run is our Spring Fitness FUNdraiser that is taking place from now until March 7th. On March 7th, students will compete in the Grif Fun Run by grade level, and then watch the House Mascot Race! (Four Teachers, Staff, and/or Parents will put on an inflatable costume for each House Mascot. The Mascots will then race down the track in front of cheering students!)

Get ready to run, cheer, and support the Griff Fun Run! We’re gearing up for an incredible year of fundraising! This year, our goal is to raise a fantastic $75,000 to bring a much-needed shade structure to our basketball court. With your support, we can turn this vision into reality and give our students the cool, shaded space they deserve to enjoy all year long.

What’s the Big Idea?
We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to your generous PTA donations, we’ve already purchased the first half of the shade structure! It is set to be installed by the end of this school year. Now, we’re focusing all our energy on raising the funds to complete the second half – and that’s where YOU come in! Together, we can make this amazing upgrade happen for our school!

9:25 - 10:35 AM - Fourth Grade

2:10 - 3:15 PM - Second Grade

Race to be followed by donated Freeze Pops from HEB and Silly String the Teacher for students that raise over $200!

Family - Please bring your ID and stop by the front office to pick up a visitor sticker before heading to the track. Younger siblings are welcome to attend. Wear your house gear and cheer on your student(s) while they race against students in their grade for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals!

How to Donate

Parents: You will need to create a parent PTA account and can donate through the MGE PTA Store.

Please make sure to update your house information in the MGE PTA directory.

Family and Friends: You will need to create a community MGE PTA account and select the student(s) to whom you would like to donate. To create a community account, you will need to know the students teacher, grade and house.

For every $20 raised students will receive one vote for the House Mascot Name

Top Fund-raiser for each house and grade will introduce their House Mascot and watch the race from the center field with a special House cape!

You can continue to donate until March 9th, but in order to count votes for the Mascot Names only donations made before 5:00 PM on March 5th will count towards the incentives.

How to Create a Community Account

How to Vote

Voting starts at 8:00 PM on March 5th and ends at 8:00 PM on March 6th.

The kids have met the Mascots on the morning announcements and have submitted names for their mascots during their library lesson. A committee has selected the top 4 names for the students to vote on.

When voting is open, go to the Fun Run website and select the form for your house. You will receive an email with the number of votes you received and use the drop-down menu to allocate the correct number of votes per name.
