We are beyond grateful for our Fun Run Sponsor, Lone Star Roofing. Their support helps make this event possible. Let's Raise Funds to Raise Shade over the Basketball Court!

Our 2nd Annual PTA Chili Cookoff was a huge success! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed and especially to Jeremy Zink for putting it all together. A big congratulations to Steve Beifuss on his FIRST place chili. His family will enjoy his prize of a Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Carnival Pack.

Career Day planning is underway. We need volunteer presenters- sign up here.

Finally, make plans to join us for our General Membership PTA meeting this Thursday at 10:30 in the LGA and at the Grif Fun Run this Friday (see here for grade level times).

Grif Fun Run

Please reach out to president@mgepta.org if you are having any trouble with donations or setting up an account.  Some families are having family and friends send money to them through Zelle or Venmo and then using their family account to make one payment.

The Holt Family, Michael and Leslie Holt and their children Blayke and Cru Holt, owners of Lone Star Roofing have been part of the Katy community since 2019, but in the roofing and restoration business since 2011.They are very grateful to be part of the Griffin family and look forward to every opportunity to give back to the community. It’s not “just a roof” to them. So be sure to Visit their website at www.yourLSR.com or call them at 713-861-ROOF for all your roofing and restoration needs! They can’t wait to welcome you to the Lone Star Roofing family!

Congratulations to our Volunteers of the Month! Priya has been tirelessly working on the outdoor enhancements project which include making blueprints and attending MUD meetings to help with funding the project. She is also a homeroom parent and volunteers in the library. Her mother in law, Ambika also volunteers! You'll see her helping in the library and she is always in the workroom helping teachers make copies and get prepared for lessons. Jen is our amazing homeroom parent coordinator who has helped organize homeroom parents for each classroom along with the fall and spring parties. She also helps in the library and most recently chaired the Father/Daughter Dance. Edward & Michelle Riggs have been helping with the 4th Grade Musical. Michelle is the chair and is also a dedicated library volunteer. Her husband built the set for the musical! Laura is another dedicated library volunteer and puts in countless hours helping in the workroom. Jeremy is our hospitality chair this year.
